About the
Artist
Hello, I’m Gracie, an Australian artist born in Canberra. After spending six wonderful years living in Italy, I returned home and am now based in Canberra, where I continue to pursue my lifelong passion for art.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always drawing and painting animals, fascinated by their beauty and the way each one has its own unique personality.
Today, I specialise in realistic pet portraiture because I believe our pets are so much more than animals. They’re family. They share our happiest moments, comfort us through the hardest times, and become an unforgettable part of our lives.
Working with soft pastels and pastel pencils allows me to capture the richness of fur, the sparkle in the eyes, and the expressions that make every pet unique. My aim is not only to create a realistic likeness but also to capture the personality of each companion, creating a portrait that brings a smile, evokes cherished memories, and celebrates the bond you share.
Although pet portraits are my speciality, I also create portraits of people, families, and the occasional wildlife subject. Every commission is approached with the same care, patience, and attention to detail, resulting in a deeply personal piece of artwork that can be treasured for generations.
